Verse of the Day, March 7, 2020
Ephesians 6:9 KJV “And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.”
Those who have been blessed to become placed in positions of authority, influence, or superiors must act in the same accordance as do all people. That is to act in kindness, meekness, and charity.
Children obey your parents; parents love and also respect your children, do not provoke them. Nurture children with love and kindness, rebuking them when they get out of the way. Servants should be obedient to those of their masters.
In today’s language, a servant would be comparable to that of an employee. Masters would be the owners of companies or those placed in charge of executing or operating the company.
Neither is There Respect of Persons with Him
Paul wrote to the Ephesians for employees to be obedient to their owners according to the flesh with a good heart. The odd thing is for masters or employers to do the same towards their servants (employees).
They should avoid threatening and remind themselves they also have a True Master in Heaven who has absolutely no respect of persons.
In other words, the Almighty views the servant and the master the same, therefore masters shouldn’t be heavy minded or handed. Work together in joy, equity, and love!

Ephesians 6 King James Version (KJV)
4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:
8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
9 And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
