Verse of the Day, September 12, 2019
Luke 12:15 KJV “And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.”
Covetousness creeps into our souls through the mind of one who thinks in lack. Those raised in poverty or in circumstances where the idea that money was not readily available are more susceptible to covetousness thinking. They get older and associate success and abundance with material things one possesses.
However, a man’s life does not consist of the things he has; we are all one breath away from all the material possessions becoming useless. Therefore, take heed readily and speedily if you are prone to covetousness; watch it and discard this behavior.
The LORD owns all and what is HIS is yours, therefore there is no need to covet.
