My Heart Shall Rejoice in Thy Salvation

Verse of the Day, July 22, 2020

Psalm 13:5 KJV “But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.”

The ALMIGHTY GOD has in HIS time operated the worlds. It can appear HE has forgotten us and hid HIS face from us. We can and have often taken counsel in ourselves and with others following our daily sorrows.

We have enduring harsh and even moderate oppression from the enemy, but in it all, we wait. We wait on the Sovereign LORD and trust in HIS mercy. Then our hearts will be glad and rejoice; yes, we will sing to the LORD a new song, because of HIS salvation and how HE has dealt bountifully with us.

Psalm 13 King James Version

How long wilt thou forget me, O Lord? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?

2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?

3 Consider and hear me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;

4 Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.

5 But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.

6 I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.
