The Prayer of Faith Shall Save the Sick

Verse of the Day, April 1, 2020

James 5:13-16 KJV “Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms. [14] Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: [15] And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. [16] Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

Are you ill, injured or emotionally down? If so, you must pray! Prayer is the answer to the afflicted. Are you happy? Then you must sing songs; singing is a result of happiness.

If you are sick and your prayers are not turning the tide of your affliction then you should call the elders of the church. Allow the elders to pray over you, let them anoint you with oil, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The prayer of those who are faithful, those who truly believe, will save them. Faithful prayer will save those who are ill and the LORD will raise them up by forgiving their sins. Therefore confess your faults to the LORD, pray for other people so you can be healed.

The effectual and fervent prayer of a righteous man or woman does much good, it is very good!

James 5 King James Version (KJV)

13 Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.

14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let
them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him
up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be
healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly
that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of
three years and six months.

18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
