Do Justly Love Mercy and Walk Humbly

Verse of the Day, September 29, 2019

Micah 6:8 KJV “He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”

This scripture, I go to bed with every day. The prophet Micah is reassuring the children of Israel that God does not and did not require the sacrifices of burnt offering. He did not require a slew of other things either; all the LORD has required He has already shown us.

walk humbly

This is what is good for the LORD, to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.

Isn’t that amazing, yet so simple? Jesus certainly was not lying when He said, Come unto Me all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me; because I am meek and lowly in heart and you will find rest to your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30).”

Jesus’ burden is certainly light when all the Father required is for us to do justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God.
