Proverbs 11:14 King James Version (KJV)
14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.
More often than not, where there is no counsel, the people, the individual, the organization will fall. This is why many of the world’s most successful people and organization have mentors, counseling, advisors, consultants etc.
King’s and heads of state are all loaded with counselors, cabinet officials, and a “think tank” of minds to counsel them on their daily matters. Why do they have counselors, mentors, and advisors? It is because there is safety in the multitude of counselors.
Our first counselor is the LORD! The Almighty speaks to us in dreams and visions, but also through other people, especially those programmed and experienced in the nature of what we need the counsel for.
What does the average person have?
At best, a good mom and dad, siblings, and a couple of good friends; at worst, a bunch of ready-to-give-advisors who are in the same predicament or worse. Remember, where there is no counsel, the people fall. However, when we surround ourselves with multiple qualified counselors, we will find safety.
